Drinking Gruners and Rieslings, All In A Day’s Work!

Several months ago I had the splendid pleasure of being invited to Wachau, Austria and get knee deep in their wine culture.

What an incredible journey it was for me to experience Austria’s wine scene. To be at the heart of the wineries and walk amongst their vineyards and see how they make some of the world’s best white wines.

I was spoiled nonetheless with the generosity of the wineries with their culinary offerings. To eat some of Austria’s signature dishes while basking in the warm reception of their hospitality was truly amazing.

The Vandenberg Riesling offers white and yellow aromatics with hints of golden raisin bread moving into the most breadth of flavor showing almond and peach leaf through a smooth rolling palate, lots of juiciness and length.
