The Ottawa 2017 Bureau has our city really excited with all the over-the-top activities that will be taking place to celebrate the 150th anniversary of our beautiful nation. And what a better way to celebrate than to have a local company headlining the libation portion?!
It was also mentioned that Beau’s will collaborate with partners across Canada, including Big Rig and Kichesippi craft breweries, to create a special beer each month in honour of Canada’s sesquicentennial.
We wanted to share this sponsorship with lots of people – Beau’s Brewery co-founder, Steve Beauchesne
“We’re very pleased to have a local success story like Beau’s Brewing Company partner with Ottawa 2017,” said Mayor Watson. “As we welcome an influx of visitors to Ottawa for our country’s 150th birthday celebrations, it’s a great opportunity to invite them to discover and delight in the many flavours of the capital region.”
“It’s an exciting time for Beau’s as we embark on a second decade of making excellent, flavourful beer, while staying true to our roots as a strong, independent, employee-owned and family-run operation,” said Steve Beauchesne, CEO of Beau’s Brewing Company. “This partnership will enable us to share our passion for beer-making with Canadians and contribute to the success of Canada’s birthday celebrations and the growth that it will bring to the region.”
After ten years of brewing excellence, they have become part of Ottawa’s identity and we are proud to partner with them to highlight this unique taste of the nation’s capital to residents and visitors alike. – Guy Laflamme, Executive Director of the Ottawa 2017 Bureau
Beau’s Lug Tread, official beer of Ottawa 2017.
The Lug-Tread Lagered Ale is Beau’s award winning, flagship beer. “This tasty golden ale is top-fermented (like an ale) and then cold-aged (like a lager) for a lengthy period, giving it light ale notes complemented by a lager-like crispness. Like all Beau’s beer, Lug-Tread is brewed with certified organic malts and hops, and local spring water. Lug-Tread is multi-award-winning, and versatile enough to suit all seasons and every occasion.”
Ottawa 2017 will be an exciting time for Canadians all over and it’s with these types of announcements that makes us wonder with anticipation and excitement what other news will we be hearing in the months to come.
Cheers to supporting local companies such as Beau’s and being proud that they will represent Canada on such a huge platform!
